SHORT DHARMIC STORY FOR THE EVENING of 24/8/23:
Sri SWAMI SAMARTHA RAMDAS, had a disciple named BHOLA. He had what was called MOODHA BHAKTI (focussed Bhakti which knew no logics). One day SWAMY SAMARTHA RAMDAS ji told Bhola that he was going on a pilgrimage to Kashi, and hence he has to do pooja, to the SREERAMA, SEETHA AND LAKSHMANA idols that he always worships. He also told him not to forget offering NAIVEDYAM to SRI RAMA. BHOLA bowed to his guru, and promised that he would do as he was ordered to.
The next morning , Bhola did a nice pooja to SRIRAMA, and later cooked some nice food , put a tulasi leaf on the food, and offered NAIVEDYAM to the deities as he was ordered by his Guru . He waited patiently, thinking that the Lord would come and eat the food. He waited and waited, then he started telling them that the food was getting cold, and they should come and eat. An hour later Bhola got a little angry, and yelled at them to come and eat. Still with no response, he now got irritated, and said "you people are jealous of me, and want to make me bad in front of my Guru. you want my Guru to scold me, and abandon me that's why you aren't coming to eat". Still with no response, he really got frustrated, and started crying and calling them. When even that didn't bring the gods, he started banging his head on a rock. As he was bleeding, SRIRAMA, SEETHA and LAKSHMANA along with HANUMAN appeared.
Instead of being happy, and elated, he screamed hard at them, and asked them to complete their food. They all quickly sat down and ate the food. Now Bhola started yelling again saying "You didn't leave anything for me, like you did everyday. This is what happens when you delay lunch, and are starved", and he started crying.
MA SEETHA, said "don't worry, I will cook something for you very quickly" , And she made chapattis for him. BHOLA said, "you made chapattis, and these are the favourite of my Gurujiâ, and he started running.
SRIRAMA stopped him, and asked him where he was going and he said he needs to find his Guru, and feed him the rotis. SRIRAMA said your Guru is far away and you won't be able to reach him. BHOLA was adamant and he said he won't eat till his guru eats chapattis.
SRIRAMA then asked HANUMAN to take him to his Guru, who carried him on his shoulder to his Guru, Swami SAMARTHA RAMDAS Ji.
When BHOLA saw Swamyji he ran to him, and said he had brought him his favourite Chapattis, and if he eats them he will leave as it's getting late for pooja again.
Shocked and speechless, Swamyji asked him how he came as it took him the whole day to reach this place, and how come he reached so quickly. Bhola told him the entire story and he said a huge monkey carried him and brought him on his shoulders. Swamyji said you are so fortunate to have Darshan of PRABHU SRIRAMA, and Ma SEETHA, and that he was carried by HANUMAN.
BHOLA said he doesn't know all that. All he knows is that his Guru like Chapattis, and has to feed him, and each back for the pooja as he was commanded by the Guru.
Such commitment, devotion to Guru and innocence sure brings Bhagawan down to his devoteeđ
