Long ago, There was a great devotee of KRISHNA, called BHOLA. He was an innocent soul, and one day he heard a pravachan where a Swamyji said, that we should always offer whatever we cook, first to Bhagawan and then eat. He would from then on, With whatever little he cooked, he would first offer it to Bhagawan Krishna and then eat. One day he went to the temple, and there he saw the beautiful Vigraha of KRISHNA and was so enticed, that he asked Krishna with all his innocence, 'how beautiful it would be Bhagawan if you

Just once come to my house for lunch, where I can serve you with my own hands'.

As he was asking this, tears of devotion fell from his eyes, which moved Krishna. That night he had a dream where Krishna said he would indeed come to his home for lunch. BHOLA was delighted, and he woke up early, cleaned the house, and with whatever little he had, cooked a nice meal and got ready to go to the temple to call Krishna for lunch.

As he came out of his house, he saw a Gomata and he immediately gave her a little food. As he was walking, a hungry beggar asked for food, and he took him home and gave him some food. Then he went to the temple and waited for Krishna to take him home. His innocent bhakti was as such that Krishna came out of the Vigraha and walked home with BHOLA.

Once home, Bhola with all devotion served whatever was left to Krishna, and

Krishna asked Bhola to sit along with him for lunch. When Bhola said he isn't hungry, Krishna smiled and said "I know Bhola there isn't any left for you. But I am actually very full. When you fed the Gomata, half of my hunger was satiated, and when you fed the beggar, three fourths

Was satiated. I cannot eat so much", and Krishna made morsels and put in Bhola's hand and both Krishna and Bhola ate from the same plate, and the plate became AKSHAYA PATRA.

Never again was Bhola poor again. So fortunate was Bhola that not only did his bhakti give him prosperity In his life, but also gave him Mukti at the end of his life.

When the heart is pure and Bhakti is selfless, Bhagawan does come down to us.
