A SHORT MEANINGFUL STORY TO BEGIN THE DAY, FROM OUR SCRIPTURES
King Dileepa, the ancestor of PRABHU SRIRAMA, was a righteous king, and his vast kingdom was prosperous and happy under his reign. The only lack in his life was that, there was no child of him.
When they met Sage Vasishtha, he suggested he do GO VRATAM as this was the result of the anger of gods, because once in swarga loka, he didn't pay obeisances to the divine cow KAMADHENU.
He and his wife Sudhakshina, did GO VRATA, which basically meant taking care of Gomata like a slave to her, for 40 days. Sit, stand, move with her, eat after her, drink water after her etc.
As this was going on, after Ardha mandala or 21 days, a Tiger attacked the cow, and Dileepa begged him to leave the cow and instead eat him, and happily offered himself to the Tiger.
As soon as he fell to the feet of the tiger, he vanished. After the succesful completion of the VRATA, he was blessed with a son RAGHU, the most invincible King in SURYA VANSHA.
Because of whose magnanimous reign, the dynasty of Prabhu SRIRAM came to be known as RAGHU VAMSAM. GOSEVA, is a very very powerful tool to get rid of many problems in life. If surrounded by tricky situations in life, and if life is engulfed by sorrow and pain, which we don't know the reason for, the immediate remedy would be to serve a Gomata for 40 days.
