PARASMANI - A stone that turns Iron to Gold

A SHORT GOOD MORNING STORY😊

Long ago, there was a poor Brahmin, who did severe penance to Bhagawan Shiva. After many years, when Shiva gave darshan, he asked for PARASMANI or the TOUCH STONE, which would transform Iron into Gold.

Bhagawan Shiva knew that the Brahmin was losing direction, and this could be his last Janma if in the right path. Under the influence of Maya, his heart was dragging him into the whirlpool of materialism, which would drag him into many janmas.

The merciful lord asked him to go to a sage, who was meditating on Mount Govardhana, and tell him about the dream, and he would give him the PARASMANI. The Brahmin immediately ran to the sage, who was in deep meditation. He waited till he finished and told him about the dream. The sage silently pointed to a heap of garbage and told him to take the PARASMANI. The Brahmin happily took the PARASMANI from the pile of dirty garbage, and danced in joy, thinking how rich he would be.

As he was leaving, suddenly it dawned on him, If PARASMANI is so precious, why did the sage throw it in garbage. He immediately went and asked the same . The sage said that anything which makes us a slave to material bonding, is but trash. The Brahmin asked, "do you have anything precious than the PARASMANI?" The sage said yes, and when the Brahmin asked him what it was, he gave him the mantra " OM NAMO BHAGAVATEY VASUDEVAYA".

As he chanted this mantra, his shed tears of bliss, and threw the PARASMANI into river Yamuna. He led a life of satisfaction and joy, and soon attained moksha, and reached the lotus feet of SRIKRISHNA 🙏
