Let's begin the week with a small story that tells us about the power of SREERAMA NAMA(The name of SRIRAMA).
Once a very old man came to Ayodhya, to seek audience with SRIRAMA. Lakshmana was there, and he told the man that SRIRAMA was busy, and he can talk to him. The old man said that he has come to SRIRAMA to ask for some Cows, so that he can earn a livelihood through their milk.
Lakshmana took him out, frivolously gave him a stick and said throw this stick, and till that place where the stick lands, the cows grazing, walking or appearing in that part would be his. The old man was confused because the palace wasn't on grazing ground, and there was no COW in sight, where his frail hands could throw the stick.
He took the stick, and loudly chanting JAI SRIRAM, he threw the stick. The stick crossed the main streets, and also the SARAYU river, and reached a big grazing ground where there were hundreds of Gomatas. Lakshmana hugged the old man for his faith in SRIRAMA, and gave him all the cows and the herd.
Hence Parashara Samhita says, whenever we give food or Danam to Gowmata, it should be done with PRABHU SRIRAMA'S name, to get results in infinity JAI SRIRAMA
