EVENING SHORT STORY 26/8/23:
In the year 1810 in PURI, when there was no electricity and the town was dark at night.
Head priest of JAGANNATHA TEMPLE PURI SRI PATTA JOSHI MOHAPATRA, was returning home through the horse gate of the temple, when he felt somebody walking beside him.
The person was not visible owing to the darkness, but he was so huge, it seemed his head was touching the sky. Patta joshi Mahapatra was totally overwhelmed. Out of fear, he questioned, "Who are you, Sir?" The answer was, "I am VIBHISHANA. I Come here daily to see the last ritual to Lord JAGANNATHA."
PATTA JOSHI MOHAPATRA asked him "VIBHISHANA, from RAMAYANA times?
You seem to be a magician, who has come to steal the wealth of JAGANNATHA.
Give me some proof that you are Vibhisana, else I will call the entire town and get you arrested.
VIBHISHANA gave him huge golden armlet he was wearing and vanished. Even now, almost 200 years later, this ornament given by VIBHISHANA, of Devaloka is worshipped in the residence of PATTA JOSHI MOHAPATRA'S family.
It may be seen and verified. The ornament is the size of a wheel of a bullock cart, with all authentic inscriptions from the time of Ramayana, and It could never have been used by a human being.
